In a rush to love, yet waiting to die. Bury my passion right in front of my eyes

In a rush to love, yet waiting to die
    Murder me sweet, satisfaction denied
Bury my passion, right in front of my eyes
Orgasmic expressions, suppressed and in vain
Intense longing, being forced to hide
In a rush to love, yet waiting to die
    Mental images,…[Read more]

This challenge was very difficult, but I enjoyed it even more than I have any other one. It pulled my brain in so many directions! I hope you like what I brought to the table.

    Forgiveness
    By Marshall Jones

I ran fervently until the day I was caught
The rapture of heartache from the lack of touch
Such a formidable for, the chance occasion we…[Read more]

I struggled with the fill in the blank poem, I am forever reminded ___________. Part of the difficulty comes from the construction of the partial sentence–it has a passive feel. I much prefer action sentences, though, in the context of the poem in which I used the prompt phrase, I don’t know how I might consider revising it.

    The forty word…[Read more]

I am forever reminded that life is okay, even on the darkest of days. Like the sun hidden by temporary clouds, “this too will pass” I say out loud. I’ve found in life, that the key for me, is to keep my serenity, no matter what may be. I am forever reminded that life is okay, each and every time, I kneel down and pray.

” I am forever reminded of love and happiness ”
    Now the 40 word challenge
    The Dream
As I lay with my eyes close all I see is darkness
Until I see her the lady of my dreams
She tells me everything is okay
Then she starts to sing love and happiness
    What a wonderful dream

Here’s my poems for the club:

I am Forever Reminded of Trust Broken
    By Marshall Jones

I am forever reminded of trust broken…….
Began when I was 4, before my innocence was stolen,
a couple of years into a life marred by poor choices.
Avoiding confrontation like it was poisonous,
    caused by venomous words spoken,
    my father floating between…[Read more]

I wonder what the world would be like if
people love more and hated less

    I hear my grandmother’s voice

    I see her smile

I want to rise above my circumstance

I am intelligent I am blessed

    I pretend to be free

I feel a gentle hand guiding me

    I touch freedom

I worry for my children that they will grow with out a…[Read more]

“I am forever reminded that true love is rare

    40 word challenge
    Eternal
I long for her gentle touch
    the touch of her breath
    her breath on my skin
    my skin tingles with sensation
    sensation of its known love
love near and dear to my heart
my heart skips and leaps with joy.

  • 40 word challenge.

    Dazzle me.
    Show that sparkle,
    like stabs of lightening,
    dance across my skies!
    Leave me awed
    by your brilliance—
    shake my world up
    as though I am but
    a human snowglobe.
    Make me feel your beautiful
    Deep within my soul!

Question…snowglobe is conjuncted, so is it 2 words? If it is then take the 3rd line and word it t…[Read more]

    I Am I Think

    By: Sean J. White

    I am the wet sheet
    looped to bear the body
and I am the first footstep in
    the fresh fallen snow and
    I wonder if either choice
    will stand as a monument
    after I am gone when
    I hear the whipping wind
and I see only the illusion
of blue skies and a world
    beyond the razor-topped
    fences that frame me
    I want to unwind
    the…[Read more]

“I am forever reminded of, the reason I fight”

The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen…
is you looking back at me! I am forever reminded of the reason I fight,
when I see you… see the truth in everything good, see
myself through your eyes, I’m blind with Love.
    A soft-hearted…[Read more]

    1st Stanza
I Am…writing my way out of the chains
I fettered my fate to, with words meant
To escape and break through hidden truths
Spoken in whispers woven out of the threads
    of Love…

I Wonder…after a lifetime of loss what I’ve truly gained,
What the sun and moon feel like upon my up-turned face,
What freedom feels like as I watch others forget…[Read more]

    THINGS PRISON TAUGHT ME
“Friends” are only those who remember you when you are not present, and include you from afar.
“Family” is not necessarily those you share family trees and blood with.
“Truth” does not set you free, rarely matters, and isn’t always the same thing to everyone.
“Love” is a word thrown around by people who rarely comprehend…[Read more]

    The Scroll
    By Marshall Jones

I unwind some of the contents of my heart,
bound so tightly no one can untie,,
I cut away the knots instead of trying to pry them apart,
a part of me doesn’t believe I have the time.
Lost within the scrolls lie a record of being rejected,
my house was a stolen car, a garage,
sometimes on a hot night, a park bench…[Read more]
