Thought of the Week (9/15 – 9/21)

Thought of the Week (9/15 – 9/21) “What lies behind us and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes The discovery, then acceptance as truth of this profound quote, has contributed to the paradigm shift from outside – in to inside – out in my life. It helped me understand that true success and enduring happiness are results of one internally being founded with integrity, humility, fidelity, temperance, courage, justice, patience, simplicity, modesty and doing unto others, as I would like done unto me, all of which adds up to great character. No longer do I entertain the blaming or accusing mode. In its place I entertain things I have control over, which is me. I end with another profound quote: “The fountain of content must spring up in the mind, and he who hat so little knowledge of human nature as to seek happiness by changing anything but his own disposition, will waste his life in fruitless efforts and multiply the grief he proposes to remove.” Samuel Johnson Contact Info: Kenneth J.
